eos Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct outlines the guidelines and rules for using eos, the lifelong learning community platform by the UC Davis Graduate School of Management, hereafter referred to as "the Platform." By accessing and utilizing the Platform, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions set forth in this Code of Conduct. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in the termination of your account and access to the Platform.
1. Prohibited Content:
- Users must not upload, share, or distribute content that violates applicable laws or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
- The Platform prohibits the sharing of content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or promotes violence or illegal activities.
2. Security:
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
- Users are prohibited from attempting to compromise the security of the Platform, including but not limited to hacking, phishing, or introducing malicious software.
- Unauthorized access to other users' accounts or any attempts to disrupt the Platform's functionality are strictly prohibited.
3. Privacy:
- Users must respect the privacy of others and refrain from collecting, storing, or sharing personal information without explicit consent.
- The Platform directory is the property of the University of California, Davis. To protect the privacy of individuals listed herein, in accordance with the State of California Information Practices Act, this directory may not be used, rented, distributed, or sold for commercial purposes.
4. Conduct:
- To foster a community that values diversity, respect, and collaboration, users commit to upholding the UC Davis Principles of Community when interacting with others on the Platform.
- Harassment, bullying, or any form of disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
5. Commercial Use:
- The Platform is intended for personal use, and users must not engage in commercial activities without prior authorization.
- Unauthorized advertising, solicitation, or promotion of products or services is prohibited.
6. Reporting Violations:
- Users are encouraged to report any violations of Code of Conduct to the Platform administrators at [email protected].
- Platform administrators will investigate reported violations promptly and take appropriate action.
7. Modification of Policy:
- The Platform reserves the right to modify the Code of Conduct at any time. Users will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the Platform implies acceptance of the revised terms.
